DEFINITIONS
Stride Stick (Sign Cutting Stick): refers to a stick that is used to measure the foot size and the stride size.
track trap: refers to foot sign (Shoe impression on the ground) that was trapped in a soft ground (ex. Mud).
Flashlight: refers to a broken twig or a stick that resulted from someone applying weight to it while on the ground.
Flag: refers to a broken twig out of a tree. when the underline of the leaf is showing rather than the top, this is referred to as a FLAG
Crush: refers to a crushed leaf or grass blade where a weight was applied to it.
Lug Pattern: refers to a distinctive shoe pattern impression on the ground that is showing the grooves of the shoe.
Shadow Line: refers to a shadow that appears in the woods where someone had walked. It's visible when the sunlight is cast over it at a certain angle.
Slide: refers to a sign that occurred on a steep hill or when the ground elevation changed. A slide is the result of someone stepping and sliding on a surface (moss, mud, etc.)
Brush Back: refers to vegetation that was Brushed/leaned back towards the direction of travel.
Rub: refers to a rubbing effect that occurs due to someone rubbing their foot on a downed tree or a rock.
Transfer: refers to foreign items that were transferred from one place to another, one example would be dirt that was transferred to a top of a leaf, which it would not have been there originally.
Shine: refers to a path that shines in the grass. Shine is like Shadow Line but instead of it casting shadows, it'll shine.
